Chances are, if you live in Israel, you will have...regularly.
A "Tzeva Adom" is basically an air raid alert, sent out by the Israeli Defence Force (IDF) to announce incoming Palestinian missiles. People have, on average, 15 seconds to respond to the alert and get into a bomb shelter before the missile lands. Sometimes the alert fails to get through and explosions arrive unannounced except for the whistle of the incoming rocket.
The underlying blog is written by an Israeli lady, a film producer by profession, living in a small town in Israel called "Sderot". Do yourself a favour, even if it is just for interest sake, and read what she's written. It's sad, frightening, emotional and makes you wonder what the fuck the world is coming to and why we can't live together in relative peace, understanding and tolerance. The blog also details the lack of accuracy of information reported by the media, from the number of dead to the number of missiles that are actually fired on Israel and, more accurately, on one little town.

Hi,
I just came back from the Middle East. They can keep it... They have been fighting for 60 years now. One country stole land along the ocean where land is fertile and the other is not. One has a 21st century army and the other is non existent. Lets hope that Barrack can finalize this once and for all to everybody's satisfaction. I will chose frigid weather over any middle eastern country....
Eish - she writes so well, and it's a completely different story from what we read in the media.
Thanx for the link bro.
Salagatle!
A2Z...Hi...hope you're well. Why is everyone pinning so many hopes on Barack Obama? Yes, he can't do any worse than George WB, but in the bigger picture I think he's a little naive, and will probably focus on getting some quick wins to win American support under his belt (closing GITMO seems to be touted by the press as being his first).
Wreckless...it's so different, it's unreal!! Who do you believe? Fuck knows, we can't believe the media...
and my responses are;
Fuck Me! Oh my goodness and what can we do?
But in reality like the majority of the world I will carry on in my own little world and do nothing - how utterly shameful............
Hi DD,
Yes you are right about BO. I would not like to be in his shoes. Some say that this war was scheduled just before GWB bowed out because they had his support and will probably end just before BO is inaugurated. It seems too obvious to me. Could it be? There is so much we dont know and will never know. I think that there are worse problems in central Africa and a lot of these Africans are also expecting miracles from BO. It reminds me of the phenomena of Mandela. I was living in SA at the time and I remember the blacks thinking that they would all have a luxury home, good jobs and lots of money. So much hope...
Brutha...glad to see you're still around, bro. And yes, the majority of the world will carry on with what we've done until now..."oohhh", "aahhh", "oh no" and the likes. Sadly, being a "normal" person in the street I'm not empowered to do much more...
A2Z...BO is an African problem too. Some of the locals really stink. Oh wait, you meant President of the Universe, Barack Obama... :-) The difference between "Madiba" and "Badiba" was that the world expected the former to work his magic on Africa only. Badiba, on the other hand, is expected to work his on a global scale. The most pathetic part of watching the election was seeing Rev Jesse Jackson crying into the camera. Was it joy on his face, or opportunity lost? He does have delusions of grandeur, that man...
