Anyone else want to meet the Pope?

We might as well all go, as I see that the unfortunate parents of Madeleine McCann are meeting His Nibs in the next couple of days for a prayer session in support of bringing their daughter back.

I feel for them as much as the next person does as it can't be easy losing a child especially not in circumstances such as theirs.

The problem I have with it is that there are so many missing children around the world, why should the man in the pointy hat single them out for preferential treatment? Why not have a prayer session in support of all the missing kids?

because we cannot address all the problems all the time.
Maybe because the parents are devout Catholics who have had their dilemma brought up in many church services worldwide, and maybe because they have managed to make this a worldwide visible incidents, unlike some of the local instances where the cops won't even bother to register it until the child has been missing for at least 48 hours, or is it 72?

Or are you saying that because we can't do it for the other millions who are missing, we shouldn't do it for this one?
That's like saying just because one murderer gets away with it, we shouldn't prosecute any of the others.... Think about it.....

And I am sure the prayer session will include all missing kids world wide, it's maybe just not possible to get all the parents to Rome to meet the boss....

That's exactly my point, bro...rather do it for all the missing kids. The way this one is being handled makes it look like preferential treatment.

Something like this should have been initiated by the Vatican, or be a regular feature in his schedule. There's a worldwide Children's Day every year, so why not include a Missing Kids piece to the itinerary for that day too?
