We were taught to use phonetics in school to get a grasp on spelling, but I think the owner of this place never got over it.
No wonder we have such a low pass-rate in our schools. "Education institutions" like this one might just have something to do with it...

I just walked past Kumon this morning...
So they're all over the show, not just in SA...
I just can't get over the O, it just looks really miserable.
You know what, it might explain why people swap their f's and p's around here... I blame Kumon.
I wasn't aware that Kumon were a global organisation. Mind you, with spelling like that, they're either founded in the USA, Nigeria or the West Indies... ;-)
I agree it might explain the thing about F's and P's.....take "fat" and "phat", for example. "Phat" has less of a negative connotation to it. Still doesn't explain the rest of the bad spelling though...{sigh}... :-)
I saw one in Singapore yesterday... No escaping them apparently...
The F's and P's thing. Apparently not all people in the Philippines can hear the difference between the two.
If you enquire about wifi at mcD's you will just be told that they don't have wifi, but they have affle fie...
Kumon is a Japanese teaching methodology which has allowed many private entrepreneurs to milk millions from unsuspecting parents and schools. My resident expert remains cynical about its efficacy as compared to good old fashioned drilling that we were subjected to.
Och, com on...really?!>!
